Archaeabacteria Kingdom
basic facts about bacteria:
~ bacteria are prokaryotes
~ prokarytoes in general are smaller than eukaryotes
~ the 3 general shape of all bacteria are bacillus(rod shaped), coccus(spherical shaped), spirillum(spiral shaped)
~ bacteria reproduce asecusally in process called binary fission-where bacteria divides into 2 cells
~ unicellular
~ only a small percent of bacteria cause diseases, a lost of bacteria help us digest our food
~ some bacteria move with the use of flagella or cilia, others do not move at all
about archaeabacteria:
~ more ancient than eubacteria
~ more closely related to eukaryotes
~ some are autotroups and some are heterotophs
~ live in extreme environments ( hot springs, salty lakes, thermal vents... )
~ do NOT have peptidoglycan in cell walls
